If you are looking for a unique art experience, take a drive in the country and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the Loafing Shed Glass Studio.
Glassblowing demonstrations at the Loafing Shed have proven to be very popular. You will be entertained and enlightened as Master Glass Blower Robert Gary Parkes explains the process as he makes a piece from start to finish. Robert will explain the tools and techniques used as well as some glass history.
Interesting and informative for ages 5 through 95.
School groups, youth groups, car clubs, church groups, seniors groups, sororities, art clubs, Red Hats, family & friends, and more are welcome.
There is a fee for an organized group tour: $8/person (GST included) – minimum of 10
Seating for 24 – complimentary cookies and beverages – plan for a two hour visit.
You are welcome to drop in anytime to visit the gallery or watch Robert at work in his studio. Simply call ahead – hours vary from week to week. Expect to spend about an hour to watch the glassblowing process, talk to the artist and browse the gallery.
